Brief
Founded by entrepreneur Jessica Davidoff, Cob Foods is a corn-free snack brand reinventing gluten-free eating through thoughtful design and storytelling. Inspired by her son’s allergy, Jessica wanted to build a brand that made eating clean feel nostalgic, joyful, and real.
Saint-Urbain led naming, brand strategy, identity, and packaging design, creating a world that recalls a time when snacks were simple, ingredients were clean, and design was honest. The name Cob captures that spirit perfectly: a cob is the absence of corn.
Finding
Through strategy and design, we built a bright, confident identity that reimagines the language of better-for-you food branding. Inspired by 1970s snack packaging and kitchen culture, the system pairs a condensed wordmark, sunny retro color palette, and playful packaging design to make “corn-free” feel exciting, not restrictive.
Bold, joyful, and refreshingly real, Cob proves that clean eating can still crave—and that smart branding and packaging design can bring warmth back to healthy snacks.
