Brief

CERCA is a dating app built on a simple but powerful idea: introductions through mutual friends create safer, more meaningful connections. While the product already challenged the conventions of modern dating, its brand had not yet fully expressed that distinction.

In a crowded landscape dominated by anonymity and endless choice, CERCA needed a visual and verbal identity that communicated trust, clarity, and confidence. The challenge was to build a system that felt bold enough to live in public space while remaining human and emotionally resonant. It also needed to flex across digital, out-of-home, and real-world social experiences without losing coherence.

Finding

We found that most dating brands rely on softness, friendliness, or irony to feel approachable. CERCA didn’t need any of that. Its strength already existed in the product itself. Dating through mutuals introduces trust, context, and accountability, qualities that are largely absent from the category.

The opportunity was to express that idea with confidence rather than sentimentality. The brand needed to feel clear, assured, and human, not anonymous or algorithmic. Bold typography, restraint, and spacing became tools to communicate intention, while illustration and photography introduced warmth and emotional texture.

The result is a system that balances structure with humanity and allows CERCA to exist comfortably across app, city streets, and real-world social moments, reinforcing connection as something intentional and rooted in real life.
